Chromebooks - 3rd & 4th

3rd & 4th Grade Teachers, Please take an inventory of your student CBs and chargers 1st thing Monday.  Please have a list of anything that is missing with the student name beside it (CB and/or charger).  Technology will need this when they come to replace them with the new CBs.

They will begin replacing the Chromebooks for 3rd & 4th with new ones.  Please do not send any CBs home.  We need to make sure all CBs and chargers remain in the room for

Read Across America

Please communicate our Read Across America Dress-Up Days in your parent communication.

Read Across America Decoration Contest

Please procced with your door/wall decorations.  The main judging criteria is CREATIVITY.  If you ask a room parent to help, please turn in a visitor form.  Remember: parents should not be in the classrooms and there should be no disruption to learning.

1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place prizes will be awarded:
1^st place - $150 for your classroom
2^nd place - $100 for your classroom
3^rd place - $50 for your classroom!

Judges will score the displays on the afternoon of Friday, March 3rd. 

ACAP Testing

Please look for a separate post dedicated to ACAP test prep.

Leadership Trussville Visit - March 9th

Please make sure you have student work hanging in the halls and things rooms tidy by th end of the week so we are ready for our visitors on 3/9.  

Collaboration Calendar-March

STREAM Studio

Nicole Jenkins' math students are participating in the "You're the Teacher" STREAM experience as a math review before testing.  They cannot wait to go back to work on their projects.

Students in Andrea Barker & Elizabeth Moffett's classes worked on bar graphs, pictographs, and line plots in the STREAM Studio.  Students loved it!

Mon, 2/27 - Read Across America Week Begins

Tues, 2/28 - 5th Graders invited to HTMS @ 7:00 pm

Wed, 3/1 - PM Bus Evacuation Drills

All buses will load as normal.

From bus 20-04(Mr. McElroy) forward and the daycare buses leave as normal.

From 09-10(Mr. Latham) back will stay and do the drill.

Thurs, 3/2 - PM Bus Evacuation Drills

All buses will load as normal.

Have the daycare buses pull off first, followed by 09-10(Mr. Latham) to the rear of the line.

From 20-04(Mr. McElroy) forward will complete the drill.

3/6-3/9 - ACAP Alternate Testing
