Weekly Update

As summer is coming to an end, I wanted to share a message I received from a parent today.

"My son has asked EVERYDAY to drive by "Paine Elementary" (he always calls it by its full name) because he misses his school so much.  It's the sweetest thing, and I am so grateful that school is such a source of joy for him!"

This is one example of the impact each of you make on our preciou little ones!  I know our students are going to be SO excited to be back!  I hope you spend your final summer days relaxing and having fun.  

Registration & Classroom Rolls

Teacher assignment emails will be sent to parents based on the following schedule (at the close of the day).  

Tuesday, 7/25 - 4th & 5th Grade
Wednesday, 7/26 - 2nd & 3rd Grade
Thursday, 7/27 - Kinder & 1st Grade

We will have your preliminary classroom rolls in your boxes by the afternoon of the day before the email goes out (for example: 4th & 5th - will be in boxes by Monday afternoon).  We still have many unfinished registrations on existing students.  We will not be able to officially place those students on a roll until their registration is complete.  As registrations are complete and your classroom roll is updated, we will place a new copy in your box.  Please wait until closer to school to begin assigning numbers to students, etc. because there will most likely be some changes leading up to school starting. Please do not communicate your classroom roster to any parent.  Please see communication below from Central Office: Teachers should not provide any parent information about class list if they have not registered and have been approved. This would violate a direct request from administration and central office.  If you have any questions, please let us know.

Paine Peeps T-Shirt & TCS Institute

We have ordered everyone a faculty-staff t-shirt for this school year. They should come in at any time.  All schools will be wearing their staff t-shirt to Institue this year!  We will let you know as soon as our shirts are in!  Please make sure you wear this to Institute.  Also, please look for eachother at Institute (the pretty blue shirts) and try to all sit together!  

We will also wear these shirts for our Faculty/Staff picture on Monday, 8/7 at 8:00 am.  This will give everyone time to wash them.

Building Reminders

We want to keep our floors looking great all year.  Make sure you have floor protectors on ALL of your student chairs.  We ordered those for all classrooms last summer. If you are missing some you will need to find a replacement for those.  Please see Lori Phillips if you have any questions.  

Please do not drag anything across the floors. There is a sign-up sheet at the front desk if you need Tim's help moving anything.

Congratulations to Emilee-Claire Cantrell (formerly Smith).  

She was married last weekend.

Congratulations to Kylee McCormick (formerly Kimbrough).  

Kylee is getting married this weekend.

Her precious grandmother passed away recently.
