                   C Week - February 13-17

South PE will be outside this week (weather permitting)

PACE Character Trait for February - KINDNESS
Please talk about this throughout the month in your morning meetings.

Paine Practice ... Best Practice

We had our grade level mid-year data meetings on Wednesday! We have so much to celebrate with the great teaching and learning going on at PES...and it is evident in our data.  Our amazing teachers are still focused on continuous improvement and closing learning gaps even further!

Our 2nd Grade Famous Americans Music Program on Tuesday was incredible! Thank you to Taylor Knuppel and Lesley Rogers...and to Angela Santiago and Kelsi Andrews for the decorations!

Krissy Boyda, Hannah Foust, Kristi Brooks, and Holly Moore traveled to Magnolia on Monday to observe and debrief on writing lessons. It was a great learning experience they will bring back to our colleagues at PES. Thank you to Kelly McGough and Jenni Peters for making this happen.  A special thank you to Dr. Foust, Mrs. Hook & Mrs. Holt for allowing us to learn from you!

Our 4th Grade Teachers collaborated to design learning experiences in all content areas with a Super Bowl Theme. Students were so engaged in these learning experiences on Friday!

STREAM Studio

Penny Moore, Tiara Carlson, & Hannah McCauley collaborated to provide their 1st Grade Students with a math experience in the STREAM Studio.  The students LOVED it and deepened their understanding of math place value concepts.

To Book STREAM Studio Collaboration (with Hannah McCauley):

·        Sign up for times here and email me about what lesson you'd like to do. Please make sure to also book the space using the PES Room Scheduler (also on the Paine Peeps blog).

Book Fair Information

Book Fair Flyers for students were placed in your boxes on Wednesday. Please make sure these go home with students!

  • Please take a moment to review the information on this document and sign up for a time to bring your class to shop. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1QXjLvo94PQbhT0Z5tVZ_CPGezk1dBv-vY8Ha8MSiDHI/edit?usp=sharing
  • We are using Crane Book Fairs instead of Scholastic, so a few things will be different from the Fall. Everything is outlined in the doc linked above! (It’s also linked on the Library for Teachers Schoology page and on the class library sign up doc for this month.
