Weekly Update

 B Week

It is hard to believe we are approaching the end of the first trimester.  There is GREAT teaching and learning happening every single day at Paine!  Thank you for the profound impact you continue to have on our students!  We are blessed with the best!

Fall Festival

Thank you to our incredible planning team and everyone who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of our Fall Festival.  The turnout exceeded our expectations and our students and families had so much fun!

A special thank you to Jim Kirkland, Jennifer Foster, April Chamberlain, and Rachel Brockman for their help last week!  Also, thank you to our Room Moms for coordinating the beautiful baskets and our PTO members who helped on Thursday evening.

Veterans Day Program

We will have our Veterans Day Program Tuesday morning at 8:30.  Students who have veterans attending the program will be invited to participate on the North Field.  We will livestream the program, so we are asking teachers to allow all other students to watch in the classroom.  Our choir will be performing.  The invitation will be sent out today to parents via our Blackboard mass notification system.

Wednesday Collaboration

Grade level teams will meet in their respective collaboration rooms to plan upcoming lessons and update lesson plans.

Thursday - No School

There is no school on Thursday in recognition of Veterans Day.

Report Cards

All TCS Powerschool Gradebooks (3-5) will be locked Sunday, November 7th at midnight.  Please make sure all grades have been entered.  Grade verifications will be printed on Monday for teachers to sign off, and we will begin printing report cards on Tuesday.  Report cards will be sent home with students on Friday (along with ACAP score reports).

Lunchroom Reminder

According to federal and state guidelines, fast food is not allowed in lunchrooms in order to protect the child nutrition program from competition with fast food / outside food. Since we are a federally funded program, we must follow their rules/ guidelines.   Teachers and staff are welcome to bring outside food into the lunchroom if they change the container/ bag that the food is in.

Friday Freeze

Friday Freeze will be delivered Friday afternoon.  We will make an announcement when it is delivered.  It will be placed in your collaboration rooms (in bags labeled with homeroom).  Please have someone pick your bag up from this location following the announcement.

Family News

Congratulations to Christian Killmeyer on the birth of her beautiful baby boy.  (We are waiting to find out his name.)  Mom and baby are doing great!

Please keep the following Paine Family Members in your thoughts and prayers:

  • Layton Dyess will be having surgery on Wednesday to have her thyroid removed.  She is expected to be out for a couple of weeks.
  • Lisa Oliver will be out for several weeks caring for her daughter as she recovers from a car accident.
