Access to Your Classroom

Hope everyone is having a great summer so far! 

We are really excited about getting our beautiful building ready this summer!  Floor waxing will be complete by this Wednesday, June 23rd, so you will be able to access your classroom any Monday-Thursday beginning this Wednesday (for the remainder of the summer).  Please follow the guidelines below for working in your classrooms:

1.  TCS is still under a NO VISITOR POLICY, so we are prohibited from bringing any family members, etc. in to help us in our rooms.  The no visitor policy includes bringing children.

2.  IMPORTANT:  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do NOT drag ANYTHING across the freshly waxed floors.  You must pick everything up and then set it down, versus even slightly dragging it.  Dragging something as simple as a box will mess up the finish on the floors.  

3. We have purchased enough chair leg protectors for each homeroom teacher to cover a class set of student chairs.  We are not sure how well these are going to hold up in the long term.  They will either be put on your student chairs or left in your room.  If you would rather use tennis balls and do not wish to use these, please return them to the front office.  We do need something on the bottom of all chairs to protect the floors.

3. We have created a schedule for Tim to assist with moving desks, tables, bookshelves, heavy boxes, etc.  (due to the No Visitor policy still in place and to protect the floors).  You may sign up for one of the hour-blocks for his assistance by using the link below and placing your name in a slot.  (The weeks are separated by tabs at the bottom of the file.)  The blocks run from Monday-Thursday (beginning this Wednesday) with the time slots as follows:  8:00am, 9:00am, 10:00am, 1;00pm, 2:00pm, & 3:00pm.

NOTE:  IF YOUR CLASSROOM IS ON THE FRONT NORTH WING (5TH GRADE), WE MAY BE USING YOUR CLASSROOM THE LAST TWO WEEKS IN JULY FOR SUMMER SCHOOL (IN THE MORNINGS), SO YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS YOUR ROOM DURING THOSE TIMES.

4. We are trying to declutter so please remember any large items, such as furniture, rugs, etc. brought from home, must be pre-approved before bringing to school.  If you took your large rug home this summer...it should be cleaned before bringing it back to school.
