Peer Observations

Classroom Teachers, Please make sure you have completed at least 3 peer observations (and providing feedback using the Google form) by May 1st. 


Formal Observations

We have extended our deadline to May 2nd.  Our admin team will complete any remaining formal observations by then.  Please look for us to come in if you are on the cycle and have not received your last formal evaluation yet.


Library News

May 2ND  Last day for Open Checkout

Please utilize your classroom libraries the last two weeks of school.
 
We currently have 62 students with fines on books and about around 90 books still overdue. Please include a reminder in your weekly newsletter about getting library materials turned in.


Wednesday Data Meetings

We will have year end data meetings during collaboration.


Thursday - Faculty Meeting

We will have a faculty meeting to go over our end of year procedures and checklist as well as plans for our EnRICh Showcase.

American Fidelity

American Fidelity will be in the South Conference Room Tuesday-Friday. Every employee must visit with them to review and sign off on your benefits.


Wednesday PST Meetings

We will have PST Meetings in Dr. L's office during planning time on Wednesday.  Please remember to have all of your forms updated prior to Wednesday.


Thursday - Early Release Time

We will use this time for you to collaborate with your grade level teams.


Recess Times

Please make sure you adhere to your recess times and locations (as listed on our master schedule).  We have experienced an increase in behavior referrals during recess.  There should only be 2 classes there at a time and no mixed grade levels.


Family News

Lawson Cribb married Ethan Lowe on March 27th it NYC. They had their official announcement this past week. She is now Mrs. Lowe.  Congratulations to the beautiful couple!

ACAP Testing

Thank you for your hard work during ACAP testing!  We know your students did a great job. We will continue with makeup testing on Monday until all testing is complete. Please remind students to remain quiet in the hallways.

Wednesday Collaboration

At the beginning of the year you should have created a Google Folder for you PLP and your evidence to be shared with our admin team.  Please bring your computer to collaboration on Wednesday.  You will use this time to upload your PLP from this year and your evidence into your Google Folder. If you have not created this folder yet, please do so before the meeting and share with admin.  Completion is a requirement on your end of year checklist.  Once, this task is complete, we will proceed to working on our lesson planning.


Thursday - Teacher Duty Free Lunch

PTO is providing our Classroom Teachers with a duty free lunch on Thursday. Our Admin Team and Specialist Teachers will be covering the lunchrooms during this time.

Friday - Retention Consideration Meetings

If you have a students that needs to be considered for retention (at the request of PST, parent, and/or the teacher) please make sure you have completed the online form by April 16th.

We will have retention consideration meetings during your planning time (for only the teachers who have submitted a form). These will be held in Dr. L's office on Friday.

National Assistant Principal's Week
It is National Assistant Principal's Week. We are so thankful for our two incredible APs, Maggie Jensen & Kelley Shirley! You are the best!  Thank you for all you do for our teachers and students!!!




ACAP Testing

Students in grades 2-5 will take the ACAP State Test beginning Monday, April 7, 2025. Thank you for your continued hard work to prepare our students.  The schedule for testing is below.

Monday, 4/7 - ELA 1 & 2 (95-105 minutes). Everyone will need wired headphones for Session 1 (Listening)

Tuesday, 4/8 - ELA 3 & 4 (75-95 minutes)

Wednesday, 4/9 - Math 1 & 2 (90-100 minutes)

Thursday, 4/10 - 4th Grade ONLY-Science 1 & 1 (90 minutes) & make-up sessions for other grade levels

Friday, 4/11 - Continued make-ups (2nd & 3rd must be completed by this day)

April 14-18 - Make-ups will continue until all testing is complete.


Please remind your parents of our testing schedule and the importance of our students being on time, getting enough rest and eating a good breakfast.  Please encourage students to do their very best!  


Important Testing Reminders

  • There should be no activity/traveling through the building beginning at 8:10 until you receive word that morning group testing is complete.
  • We will begin the PE schedule as soon as whole group testing is complete. We will get the word out, but will not make an intercom announcement due to continued small  group testing.
  • Travel in hallways should be limited and students should remain supervised and quiet.
  • Please avoid hallways that have "testing" signs.
  • K & 1, If you have morning recess we are asking you to move this to a later time when whole group testing is complete.  This is to ensure there is no traffic in the hallways.  
  • There will be NO lunch visitors on this week.


State Testing Week - PE Schedule

We will be on a modified schedule this week due to testing.  There will be no specials. We plan to begin PE at 10:50 (but please wait on word that testing is complete before proceeding to PE).  We will try to have outside PE if weather permits.  If we are able to do this, we will be using the north field and south playground.  PE times for this week are listed below.

11:00-11:30  - 2nd Grade

11:30-12:00  - 4th Grade

12:00-12:30   -  3rd Grade

1:00-1:30 - 1st Grade     

1:30-2:00  - Kindergarten    

2:00-2:30  - 5th Grade

If you have to change your recess time or location due to testing, please notify the office so we know when and where you will be.
