Paine Highlights for the Week

What a great week of teaching and learning at Paine Elementary!  Our faculty and staff showed students how excited we were to see them each morning when they arrived at school.

Meaningful learning targets were posted in classrooms around the school to help students take ownership in their own learning.  Students were already building reading stamina!  We already have a 5th grade millionnaire!

It is only the second week and our teachers are already conferring with students to assess progress and advance each student's learning.  Teachers were differentiating by providing small group instruction.

During collaboration time on Wednesday we set up our gradebooks and planned upcoming lessons.

We had fun greeting our colleagues in our first Thursday afternoon faculty meeting, where Mrs. Meredith facilitated ESL training for our staff.  We also discussed Educator Effectiveness requirements and learned that our school indicator for 2019-2020 is RIGOR & RELEVANCE.

On Friday we celebrated the students who completed our summer reading and math challenges.  Thank you to Mrs. Ramer and our PTO for organizing this fun celebration!
